Byzantine, pre 5th.Century lead Menorah.( the Menorah is one of the oldest symbols of the Jewish people, it is a seven -branched candelabrum in the Taberacle and later in the Temple in Jerusalem . A theory to its design is based on ancient Hebrew cosmology, the seven branches represent the seven heavenly bodies known at that time, the Sun, the Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn) size 9 x 8ins.
